Hi all. I have just returned from a road trip through France and down into Spain in my 2011 HSE auto overall I am happy with the vehicle. However I do have a concern. I have noticed that every now and then the front tyres seem to scrub or skid. It seems to happen between the change between 1st and 2nd gear in the auto box. It reminds me very much of when you would jump start/push start a manual vehicle. It is a very low mileage vehicle and is a Landrover Approved vehicle and I will of course be following it up but would like any advice/ideas before I do so. Many thanks.

Not sure what you mean.
Are you saying that your tyres are losing grip on heavy acceleration away from standstill?
In that situation the FL2 should be in 4 wheel drive automatically (up to about 20mph at least).
How do you know its the front wheels, does it tug the steering?

Is it perhaps from the gearbox, hesitating to lock up the clutch?

Hi Ian. Thanks for the reply and your time. The fault is intermittent and not under heavy acceleration. I didn’t notice any tugging on the front wheels and there doesn’t appear to be any problem with the steering. The sound seems to come from the front tyres and does sound like a vehicle accelerating too quickly. I will certainly look up your link as it could be a possibility. It is a very short hesitation.
