I may have just ...............

It seems I may have just committed to buying a tractor in South Wales Sheep Sheep Sheep

A Yorkshire registered Grey Fergie circa 1950. Could be a money pit but so are Land Rovers. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Make sure you take a Mac and a sou’wester cos they won’t go very fast and it may take a couple of days to get back Rolling with laughter

Good point Mowog, taking the FL2 and a hired trailer to collect. May be in the market for a good / cheap trailer if one is available. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

It's a JCB fastrack
I think I remember them coming out about 15? Years ago,

Tractor that would do 30mph.

They probably do twice that now!

(All seem to be driven by 15 yr olds!)

I did some work on a Case monster recently that had no wheels and more tracks than a fleet of tanks.
I needed a ladder to reach the steps! Rolling with laughter

Been out 27 years, that one will do 37mph, the bigger ones will do 43mph. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I recall it was about 1990.....seemed to have skipped ten years of my life somehow Shocked

I did have a drive of it fitted with a plough, but farmer said I drove it too fast and chucked the muck too far or something, I didn't have a clue what he was on about. Rolling with laughter

JCB fastrac will do 65kph I believe, now available with a constant variable transmission so you need not even change gear.
jcb can legally go faster than other tractors, due to more suspension and some fail safe in the steering, so you can steer with a dead engine.

Perfect vehicle for me, only need 2 seats, it’s all 20mph/30mph zones and the pot holes are horrific around here. Plus it has all terrain ability, 4 wheel steer and can be had for the price of a Discovery 5. Perfect

Do you intend to show it yorky? or is it just the joy of tinkering with something? 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Firstly got to get it but guy has sent me a video of it running and it looks cracking for a old girl born in 1950. I Have met a few who do Tractor Runs in the greater Driffield area and its needs to be reliable enough for that but maybe we can look forward to doing a bit more than that.

Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow but I will be needing a trailer ....................... etc. Shame I did not see it in Spring as the Autumn is already looking busy with this and that to include another trip to Nepal. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
