Access to glove compartment from engine bay

I had a search for this but no results. Can anyone point out a way in to the interior of the Freelander II from the engine bay, without having to make a hole.

Follow the path of one of the looms would seem to be an option.

If you explained why it may make more sense. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks for all your replies. The reasoning behind it is that I'm going to try installing front parking sensors, as I can't figure out the bonnet length, even after 4 yrs use Crying or Very sad

Have you checked if the sensor wires are already in the loom?

A lot of looms are standard (as it's cheaper to spec just the one) then just connected (or not) to the required accessory. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Hi

I also fed 3 wires through using the bonnet pull grommet but it is not easy.

I removed the glove compartment inside and the airbox with all its pipes, battery, battery box and a fair bit of skin from my knuckles to get them through. Was worth it as I needed the cabling but wouldn't relish doing it again. The might be an easier route but I couldn't find it.

The sensors will make parking so much easier as the front does just drop away 😀

Good luck Thumbs Up If your going through hell, keep going!

Wrapper of rear pillars 😀
