Armrests from woodcompany

Hi,
I’ve recently bought a Freelander 2 2013 (with the aux etc hidden under the slidey thing where the arm would go) with black leather inside. However it has no armrests. So doing the research on here, most of you recommend the woodcompany ones. With mine being black leather - what’s the difference between the eco and the real leather armrests? Can you spot it a mile off, or does the eco blend in with its surrounding well? I’m curious to find out before I order.
Thanks for reading
Steve

It might help if you post a link to the product that you are asking about as it is not completely clear to me what you have in mind. I have the centre console/armrest from that company and while it is ok, it’s a bit flimsy and the way it fits in, you lose almost as much storage space as you gain. Mine’s finished in “eco-leather” which is fine, but the rest of my car’s interior is not leather, so there is nothing to directly compare with.

What I have is this one although I bought mine from Rimmer rather than directly from Italy. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

I have MY 13 and bought an armrest directly from this company in Italy. Big mistake paying via card as Santander bank charged pound Euro convention and transaction charges, should have paid via paypal.
The armrest i bought is real black leather and can slide forward etc. Leather doesn't match with my xs leather seats. The steel wall of the unit is quite flimsy I feel. It came with 4 selftap screws which means that you will need to drill 4 smaller holes on the console to fit. I think it's OK but nothing special.

This is the one - I have the slidey compartment that the armrest would cover. Just wondering if the eco leather wouldn’t match my black leather seats etc. I know years ago on the forum people where raving about them. Just wondering if it was still the case??

My recollection was that the difference in price between real and eco- leather wasn’t huge, so I guess if you are in doubt perhaps best to go with the real. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto
