Hissing sid!

Grass snake spotted and stalked by neighbours cat on their yard. I was drafted in to assist using the handy grabber and returned it safely to the field. 🐍

A fool and his hands are soon parted Laughing They have been known to bite in self defence apparently (non venomous). The neighbour was all for hitting it with the shovel but I pointed out that was cruel and also illegal as they are protected by law.

It’ll be back no doubt. Plenty of frogs in our ponds which they like to feast on. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Best not grab it with your hands, as they can produce a foul smelling liquid from the rear end Shocked
and a strike is normally done with the mouth closed, more of a warning really.
