P0405 and P0403 still there after new EGR

A couple of weeks back I started to get "restricted performance" message, first at warm starts and after a few days more or less all the time.
Read the codes that were:
P0405-77 (6C) Exhaust gas recirculation sensor A - circuit low - Mechanical failure - commanded position is not reachable
( on 21-06-2018 19:08:57 at 260271 km )
P0403-71 (68 ) Exhaust gas recirculation control circuit - Mechanical failure - actuator is stuck
( on 21-06-2018 19:21:47 at 260281 km )

OK, ordered a new EGR valve (Pierburg, same as the old one) and enjoyed a Saturday at the back of the engine.

But after clearing codes and doing a quick test run, the MIL came on again Sad
Read the codes again:
P0405-77 (EC) Exhaust gas recirculation sensor A - circuit low - Mechanical failure - commanded position is not reachable
( on 07-07-2018 20:53:33 at 261573 km )
P0403-71 (EC) Exhaust gas recirculation control circuit - Mechanical failure - actuator is stuck
( on 07-07-2018 21:25:15 at 261582 km )

Reading on Topix it states like this:
"If a new Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is installed, the powertrain air
path learn process must be carried out using Jaguar Land Rover approved
diagnostic equipment."

Anyone got any experiences on this?
It's a 2013 SD4 auto with 162k miles on it

Sounds like the process I went through when the dealer was trying to sort out the hesitation problem on my 2011 model. They said that they had "recalibrated the airflow". A few months later I had an exhaust sensor fail and the LR Assist guy came out, whilst he was here I mentioned the hesitation issue and he said that he could recalibrate it again as it wouldn't take long and he did so with his LR tablet computer. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

OK, might be so that a dealer visit is needed then (something I so far has been able to avoid through 10 years of D3, D4 and FL2 ownerships)
I did a log after clearing faults and to me it seems like the EGR is moving according to requested position? Or should the blue and red lines be even closer to be deemed OK?

I've now checked all EGR related wiring and measured the position sensors for both EGR valve and cooler bypass valve which seems to provide accurate feedback.
I find it frustrating to have the same codes for EGR valve as before changing it, must suggest the problem is elsewhere? But if not wiring, it can only be the ECU itself then?
I've been in touch with GAP who says they don't support the "powertrain air path learn process".
Hesitant to contact dealer, especially in summer period I expect long waiting time and the response like "leave it with us and come back in two weeks time when your new house mortage has been approved".

Visited an independent garage today who had SDD and could run the "powertrain air path learn process". Once that was done, no more issues Very Happy

Yes, but at 162k miles I would not say it's unusual to have to replace the EGR valve on any engine?
The replacement was not too bad, once the secondary bulkhead is out, there is enough space to work with normal tools and hands Very Happy

Had a customer with failure at 48k. Replaced it himself, still logging same codes after replacement

Ran the valve replacement routine, and all was well again Thumbs Up
