It logs places you go to in case you want to save them as favourites. Then you can route to them easier. It's not like Big Brother is watching you.
I actually like that my Garmin saves a "tracklog" so that I can see where I actually went on holiday rather than the routes I created before I went. Especially when you see something unexpected and go off route to have a look. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

Everything and everybody seem to be tracking me, I've given up worrying.
Sat Nav, Camera, and when I looked my phone has been tracking me, although I thought that I had switched that feature off.

As the FL2 has many sensors (speed, acceleration {in all directions}, inclination, etc) I do wonder how long it stores that info in it's database.

During my travels I have noticed that those little ANPR cameras are everywhere, especially as you join and leave major routes or enter shopping centres. It won't be long before average speed calculated speeding tickets will be dropping through our letter boxes. Sounds like the 'Magic Money Tree' our politicians are looking for. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
