More Raffle Prizes

Yorky Bob wrote:
I did say I would add some pics of the raffle prizes kindly supplied by Dan at Duckworths.

On the day at Tan Hill (23 June) its £5 a ticket but those who want to support this raffle in the aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance it going to be quite simples:

Send a £5 donation via this link direct to them, then PM me with your details and I will add you in. I will post a list a few days before of those that have done this so no one misses out so try and donate prior to 16 June please. Any postage out will come out of my own pocket

On opening the donate link you can select "in memory of a loved one" if possible use this option and the name is James Christian Telford-Taylor who lost his life recently in a Motor Cycling accident, the Air Ambulance attended.

https://www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk/donate/

Prizes are all Land Rover goods from scarfs, computer covers, phone coves to a nice leather case. Got a nice prize to throw in bring it along or PM me to sort out.

Any of us at any time may need the Air Ambulance so dig into those pockets guys.

Regards YB

A bit disappointing so far with the response but to tempt you some more we now have a bottle of Whiskey (thanks to Chicken George) Mud falps, Great Land Rover Coffee table Book and stickers (thanks to Taz).

See above on how to enter.

It's now looking as though I will be able to make it for lunch, although it'll be brief as I'll be on the way from Berwick to Ely. I didn't want to subject my wife to a tortuous journey, but she now has to leave early for, alas, her sister's funeral, so I have a bit more latitude for a diversion on my journey home. What time are you aiming to kick off YB? Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Fantastic Past Master that you can drop in.

Yes the plan - Its got to be fluid due to where people are heading in from but I would hope by 12 noon those attending have arrived at the Tan Hill for a leisurely lunch followed by the prize draw.

As I am heading out of the greater Leeds area my thoughts were to meet anyone from my area or coming in that way at the Grassington main car park to leave at 10am and travel the scenic route of Upper Wharfedale to Hawes Creamery car park for say 11am. Anyone coming West from the M6 or East/North East from the A1 can hook up then there for a grand water splash through the ford at Gayle just above Hawes just after 11am. Great for a photo shoot and then over the tops to Swaledale. The buttertubs road is nice but going over via Askrigg Common I feel has the edge. Then on via Muker, Thwaite and Keld to the Tan Hill for lunch.

Those who are more off roading inclined read my earlier postings re your options.

How does that sound ???????????????

I have not planned in anything else but my car is my Tin Tent for the weekend so as long as people are around I will be there to ?????????????? Not going to encourage drink and drive but a visit to other places like Arkengarthdale or a local walk is all there to be done. Crackpot Hall from Keld is a really nice stroll in good weather. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Look forward to seeing y'all there. YB, might be worth printing off some Gift Aid forms for those who write a cheque on the day. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Hope to see you all a week tomorrow as well, currently sat drinking beer in the mountains of Austria 🇦🇹.

I can take money or cheques on the day and lodge it via the YAA site myself to get gift aid, to be honest so far it’s a poor do Rolling Eyes re the raffle but I am an optimist and looking for that late rush.

Cheers YB. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Hi YB, Sadly I can no longer make the meet. Other priorities I'm afraid.

I have however just made a £10 donation in James's name to the air ambulance.

Hope all goes well a week Saturday

For those that can be at the creamery car park by 11am (maybe 2 of us then lol) that will be perfecto. As said previously then over the Gayle water splash ( not going to be deep with this weather) and then on to the Tan Hill for a leisurely lunch, raffle draw etc. I will go towards Hawes from the Grassington NP car park at 10am.

I did show some legal off roading routes in my previous mails so search Tan Hill.

After lunch its hobsons choice as I am happy to lead a local walk or take a drive or just drink and chat. I am taking bivvy gear so no time constraints from my perspective.

East enough to spot my Red GS but its reg finishes with NFV or remembered by me as No Fecking Value. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Hi Yorky, hoping you got the pm. Sadly distance and the fact we're on holiday stops us getting there tomorrow. Hope it goes well, a worthy cause
