Now thats how to make the original generations rear lights looking great! how did you manage that or is it a trade secret?

I rather like the floating effect, it changes the whole look of the FL2.

Has anyone any idea of professional costs of getting all or at least the white (in my case) bits done? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Did you remove them for wrapping or did you do them still attached to the car?
If you took them off were they easy to remove?

Hi thank you I removed them to wrap, it was fairly straight forward tbh just several of those plastic push centre rivet things (sorry don't know what to call them) and pull them forward and they come right off.

Here’s a picture of mine that the dealers done from new. As stated they’re just on with poppers.

It will look good with your White motor, it's just the top line on the gold one isn't quite straight and that tiny drop makes it look a little strange to me. Maybe if the whole window frame from front to back was done it would set off the slight drop and bring it all together? If your going through hell, keep going!

Thanks Nut I knew I had seen the colour coding somewhere Laughing Decided to match the windows instead of sanding them flat and Zermatting the hell out of them which I'm pleased with.

I have no idea, it doesn't match anything else on the car so made no sense to me either but the B pillar material is pants too so might do that too at some point.

Thanks for comments. Thumbs Up

Was quite easy really, just needs time & precision.
I made paper templates to cover the red areas, then transferred to gloss black vinyl body wrap, then applied.
I cut small 'stripes' to apply over the fog lights (so they're partially blended in with the black look, but still highly visible when on) FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Are these easy to remove or is there a danger of breaking clips while doing it? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Just ordered some wrap off Amazon bro. Not with the car for couple of days so just ordered and hope it'll be wide enough. It was 8.99 or so.

There's loads to choose from on Amazon.

Hi I am fairly handy but I really didn't need a vid when you look at them they have studs running along the edge that the tailgate covers when closed, the studs are a large version of the studs that hold the plastic scuttle and battery box on with. Once you gently ease the middle up the studs can be pulled out. The panel just need to be pulled towards the rear of the car which frees it up from the window lip and hey presto one panel ready for covering.

Happy wrapping Thumbs Up If your going through hell, keep going!

Cheers Sick It was a little experiment that turned out well, it will look good on your grey motor too. A little tip your panels need to be completely clean to get the best adhesion I found washing up liquid worked well for me as it is a degreasant but kind on the plastic.
