Misfuel device location

Hi all,

So today i put some diesel in using a plastic can nozzle. The misfuel device activated which is fine, however i cant for the life of me locate the key to reset it. I have a full spare wheel and under it is the jack etc but i cant seem to spot where the key should be even if i had one.

any pointers.

Mine sits in a slot in the foam insert that holds the jack and wheel key. it sits under the spare wheel. Of course if you bought used it might have been lost /kept by the previous owner.

A couple of years ago my neighbour bought a FL2 and didn't have the key so we made one using mine as a pattern from a bit of 10mm wooden dowel and a bit of bent copper stuck in a slot in the end. Alternatively you could buy one as below.

Just spotted my reset key. It is Velcro strapped to the left hand side of my boot, under the floor adjacent to the spare wheel. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I think it converts petrol to diesel using some sort of chemical reaction due to the plastic Whistle

it resets the trap door that drops down if you put a petrol nozzle (narrower than diesel) into your fuel tank.
