Yes that's about it but you need to reset Windows.

Nope - as you will need to reset windows one shot sequence, time and date.

Otherwise no problems but watch out for a spark or two on putting leads off and on. Eye protection and plenty of fresh air if it was coming off a charger first.

Go for the highest amps you can within any cost controls. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

on some stopstart cars the car will need recalibrating to let it know it has a new battery, but the freelander does it its self after a few hours,im not sure about later vehicles, ie after 2009,perhaps some one can confirm for later models?

Had recently fitted a AGM battery on my 2010 TD4e without disconecting the power, using a portable starter pack.
No need to reset anything after, the start/stop kicked in after few hours.

if the stop start works after fitting a new battery on any car it means the car does not need to be calibrated.

I replaced the battery on a KA and the stop-start hadn’t worked for about 6 months. The stop-start worked straight away. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
