Urgent help needed please window regulator / glass

Hello I’m trying to replace my drivers door lock mechanism. I’ve read as many posts as I can find but don’t understand how to separate the glass from the regulator ?

I can see the white glass carrier through the speaker hole and have tried pulling up the glass bodily also tried sticking the glass up with tape and then winding window down to no avail either !

I Normally can do Most jobs but need guidance please !

Thanks have studied this and the series of photos of red fl2 with foreign text but no one explains how to free the glass from the white / yellow nylon clips

try this. Bloke describes it as a f**ing pain in the ass ! Its funny to watch and his language is pretty bad ha ha. He mentions the glass after about 9 or 10 minutes

You pull top bit of the plastic holding the class toward and the class should just lift out. If you have the widow down a bit it easer to get at

The white clip appears to have a tooth on it that fits in a recess in the glass. Is the yellow one the same ? I’m struggling to access it

I've only replaced the rear lock so it might be slightly different on the front. I think I had to have the window about a quarter of the way down then you can get to the clip via the speaker hole or one of the other access holes. You should just be able to pull the top lip of the clip forward and push the glass free.

Ok - after much swearing and sweating, I think the solution is as follows:

For the yellow (rear ) clip, undo the inspection bung , release electrical connection block and pull plug/ grommet out of the hole. Reveal inspection holes above inspection bung . Drop window enough to enable you to "look down " through upper inspection port onto top of yellow clip. You will be able to see the nose of the outer side of the clip pushing through the hole in the window glass. Using a long steel probe ( I used a large Allen key ) push on the nose of the clip whilst pulling upward on the glass.

White clip the same but easier access.

Excuse poor photo - probe shown in yellow
