Robby. I believe this is at LR expense If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

LRNUT - I hardly use the car at night and as the morning will be getting lighter i don't think it's worth upgrading to xenons.

Think I read somewhere that it main dealer only, same here about changing lights seems a lot of expense. Hopefully this fix will mean a brighter lamp can be put in. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

I bought mine new and I don’t regret it at all. It’s not about the cost of bulbs but the inconvenience and the safety aspects are the main concern. Winters up here are long and day light is extremely short. HB3 bulbs have pathetic light output and it’s dangerous driving with them on an unlit road. I went through 14 bulbs in the first two years! Then I seen the light and purchased a pair of brand spanking new MY15 xenon headlights that’s came with a two year warranty MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Rob stockpile mate as you’ll be chewing through the HB3’s. I always kept a spare set so that I was never waiting on bulbs to arrive. Turning off the auto lights and headlamp delay and they will last longer also. LR know what you mean about keeping a stock on board but don't forget the 10mm spanner as well.

I asked about the fix at the indys and was told it's a wire with a resistor in - connected from bulb to light unit - £36 each he said all who tried to get it done FOC at the main dealers had to pay...............

Does anyone know is this just a resister in series with the bulb feed? If so it will presumably decrease the light output |

Can't help you on that but surely they cannot get any dimmer as out here in the sticks with only lanes they're already. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

These don't blow like a filament bulb does AND they give several times the light output .......... just sayin'
