The later models with the “ok to leave in gear at idle” feature uses a slightly thinner ATF. Look for “T-WS” or “JWS3324”. DO NOT use a “universal” ATF. (Remember the saying “Jack of all trades, master of none”)

Yes, but I used 10L using the dump & fill method. You cannot just drain 7L. Only 3L will come out.

I didn’t rush. I used a friend’s four poster. Raised it, drained it, lowered it, topped it up, ran the engine, went through the gears then started at “Raised it” again x2. Finally topping up, ensuring the box felt well hot and doing a hot drain to arrive at the required level. All done in an afternoon.

Yes, there is a filter.
No, you do not change it.
It is inside the gearbox and only accessible by gearbox removal!
