Headlight Upgrade

I'm sure this must have been covered before - I would like to upgrade my December 2008 i6's headlights. Would a late model's improved lights be a straight replacement ?? What options do I have ??
If anyone can direct me to earlier posts I'd be grateful.

Yes you can, subject to wiring loom changes and a change to the CCF config file to allow Xenon lights.

there are a ton of threads on here regarding this so if you use the search option on the top menu bar you will find detailed answers of what is required.

If the advertised changes to the mot go ahead... will the mods he's looking to make cause his FL2 to fail it's next mot? Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Hi there.

I recently upgraded mine from the older version to xenons.

It was pretty strait forward, but not the cheapest for me.

I’ve read some guys on here saying they picked up a pair for £300! Quite possibly so, but i paid 650 for mine, their the latest version,100% brand new out the box, so I was delighted with them.

You also need connection adaptors, another £250.Then £100 to them fitted cause I know plums about electrics!lol

The difference is night and day, excuse the pun.
Best mod Ive done to mine.

Bottom line..

If you can afford it, go for it! Thumbs Up

If you add xenon headlamps to a car it’ll pass no problem. If you add xenon bulbs to a halogen headlamp it’s an MOT failure. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I added Xenons to my 11 plate - £200 off here a straight swap and an edit to the CCF file which cost £30 sorted. No loom changes required though my Xenons were also from an 11 plate
The best upgrade you'll ever make if you have a Feelander with Halogens.

Never mind about British MOTs law in May 2018, where Xenon headlamps are only to be fitted to vehicles with self levelling.
