I used the Terrain Response and HDC in the thick snow today, I had a HDC green bar appear in the display and when it lost traction a picture of the car appeared in the dash display which showd blue front wheels then grey. When I got home I thought I would look at the owners hand book to see what it all meant, neither of these features are covered or mentioned in the manual which seems a great help! So none the wiser

I noticed this for the first time a week or so ago in 'grass, gravel, snow' and as best i could tell, the wheels in the IPC where grey when straight, and blue when turned.

When using one of the Terrain Response Special Programs the display in the photo shows the wheel position. If there is no display the wheels are straight, blue wheels will appear when the wheel is turned through 180 degrees and will turn grey and then disappear when the wheels return to straight. Traction loss does not in itself result in the picture appearing but probably did as the wheels may have been turned through 180 degrees when traction was lost.

180? If a wheel turns 180 degrees it would be pointing backwards and I'm sure mine only have about 45 degrees either way from straight ahead. Are you saying it goes from grey (straight ahead) to Blue (when not straight ahead)? Or was the 180 referring to the steering wheel and not the front wheels? FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

For sure he means steering wheel, as he wrote "wheel" - singular, not "wheels" - plural - like later on the same sentence.

SD4 auto, 100miles a day on the M42 seldom getting the opportunity to go over 60.

And a lot of relaxing music.

Typically I sit around 37 to 38mpg, managed over 40mpg one week. Drops off a cliff if I have to do the school run first.

The FL2 has massively improved the commute comfort wise.
