'Gas Guzzling' Jag

PMQ's was interesting today.

One minister ask the government to support car technology in the midlands.

Whilst another proposed PM gets rid of the gas guzzling Jag.

The PM was quick to point out that the Jag in Downing Street was not hers. But more interesting than that was how clear it is a what a mess the government is making of Brexit and seemingly any further movement depends on the DUP's Arlene Foster getting her way and continuing the DUP to keep Theresa May in power. Given the Brexit mess and even bigger mess we will be in once it happens it is time scrap Brexit.

The worry is that MPs think that debating whatever car is supplied to the PM rates above people sleeping in the streets or waiting 8 hours in A&E when it comes to best use of their time.

When it comes to Brexit, the country voted to get out of Europe, it was a clear in/out vote, so lets get on with it, and deal with the consequences.

The majority of my fellow workers are vociferous in their support of staying in Europe, but when asked (and I have asked half) less than 10% actually bothered to vote. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

That's not just an XJ though, that is the Sentinel! It's very heavily armoured

One amazing bit of kit if getting a bit out dated. I'm not sure Jaguar even make them anymore, so would have to be replaced with a Range Rover Sentinel

Even second hand there still way expensive

I wonder if Freedom caravans thought it would make a good tow car?
Then found out that a standard tow bar wouldn't fit. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Which means if successive governments hadnt made the general population so cynical of politicians and they had bothered to vote we wouldnt be be in the hugely wasteful mess we are in now. Mind you Whitehall are loving it - more jobs for the boys behind the negotiations - costing us millions Jules

Some things to ponder re Brexit:

A bill currently going through Parliament will bring all EU law into UK law - so what will change when we leave?

If we want to export to the EU we will have to comply with all relevant EU requirements, including human rights and diversity matters, as we and any non EU country have to do now - so what will change when we leave?

Some Brexiteers say we will get excellent trade deals all around the world, so does that include the USA who have just imposed a 290% import duty on some of our goods? Great deal that one from our "special relationship" partner. New Zealand has said that it has other markets and would not want to jepardise those to create a new deal with the UK - so any deal there seems out of the running. New markets like India are being explored, but India says that could be good but it would be linked to increased immigration from India to the UK. Wasn't less immigration one of the key things Brexit would achieve?

Doesn't look good does it?
