England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

I read recently on another forum that someone had just moved from somewhere in the north (cant remember where) where the "Rule" was that after the lights changed to red the next three cars were allowed to pass but in Sheffield (where I think he had moved to) the "Rule" was that only the next two cars were allowed to pass the red. He was a bit annoyed that when he was the third car to pass the red he got hooted at.

Strange that we have different rules in different places, I though there was only one set of rule for the whole of the UK and those rules say that Red means stop as does Amber.

The reason are so many traffic offences being committed is because there’s very little chance of being caught. Too few traffic cops on the road and when you report something to an officer on the street or at the police station you’re one made to feel guilty.
2 things I do regularly , firstly , we go to a local pub every Wednesday for a meal , I drive buy a chip shop which is next to a zigzag pedestrian crossing, without fail someone is parked on the zigzag .. never a cop in sight even though I’ve reported it many times.. we have a wee dog and a couple of times a week I walk her into town , the number of idiots who disregard the most basic of the Highway Code is beyond belief. When you do see a cop he is in a car doing 40mph in a 30 zone looking the other way. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Apparently Brexit means Brexit too but to hear the warnings of Armageddon from our supposed elite there are many who think otherwise.

Me? Both Red and Amber mean stop! (Regardless of what region I am driving in) Whistle

Interestingly when temporary traffic lights are step up ....... signage states ....

1. When Red light shows wait here.

more recently...

2. Wait here until Green light shows.

.
