Hard wired in and easily transferable.

Wouldn't drive without one.

Me too, tried several in the past, Pittasoft BlackVue are the cream of the crop IMO, especially when combined with the PowerMagtic Pro independant PSU.
They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
At the end of the day image quality is everything, so always set to the highest quality video.
I would also suggest having your speed displayed on the video files because these cameras are ultra wide angle. This means they give the appearance that you may be speeding, in a 30 limit for example, and the speed display shows you aren't (assuming you aren't!). Derek Hill

People are correct about not telling insurance companies as Dash Cams are now just a buy word for not paying out. On top of the points mentioned you also have the fact that you agree to have a dash cam installed and on at all times whilst driving. Then you have an accident and find that someone has unplugged it to charge the phone etc etc, straight away you have voided your policy.
I am aware of a large number of people falling into this unfortunate bracket recently with some previously though reputable large companies...

I use a Mio 538 Deluxe which is stuck to the windscreen with a modified Road hawk dc-01 mount all you have to do is slightly sand down the top edge of the mount slot to enable it to slide into the camera holder.

my old mio 388 camera.

Ever hear of Hydraulicing an Engine ? The engine air intake for a FL2 is the nearside fancy looking wing vent and fill that with water and you say goodbye to your engine. Happy wet motoring. Shocked FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

The wading depth of the FL2 is 0.5M. Thats very deep, and feels even deeper when youre going through it.
Take care though, just 6 of fast flowing water is enough to sweep a car off its wheels. Derek Hill

Going through a just few inches of water at speed could push enough water into a FL2 air intake to cause thousands of pounds worth of damage. Seems like fun and we have all done it but really its not worth the risk. Wade slowly. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yes Wade slowly, if you're not sure of the road and you have to go on, then get out walk it with a wading pole (thumb stick) and remember drains can lift and road surfaces can easily be washed away, if still not sure turn around and go back,

Water might seem shallow enough to zip through but it's the wake waves that get you.

Anyway back to topic what is the average cost of having front and back dash cams fitted please. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
