Do Freelanders unlock themselves?

One of my Hobbies includes Amateur radio, and part of the spectrum we are allowed to use is in the 400+ mhz section .
(same part as key fobs of several makes use as well .)

Once in a carpark on a nice sunny day while waiting for the good lady to finish her shopping ,a chap walked away from his car aimed his "zapper" over his shoulder and locked his car.
about 3 seconds later I pressed the microphone on my amateur radio, click flash his car unlocked.! alarm going off
this time he reset his alarm, and agin walked away, glancing over his shoulder as he did so ,
I let him get another 6 steps , then pressed the microphone again ..... the same result !!!

now the guy is stomping back to his car opening and closing all the doors boot, starts the car has all the windows down and up.. relocks the car stares hard and slowly walks away AGAIN.

Now the devil in me kicks in ... I wait till i see him almost leave the car park , still looking back to his car, should I or shouldn't I...????
ohh to heck with it press, unlock, alarm goes off .
he is now running across the carpark aiming his "Zapper" at the poor car, Censored shouting and doubting its parentage.
now he has the bonnet up prodding everthing in sight ..!!(can barely contain myself ) Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Wife now heading back to car looks at me sternly and says "Whats the matter with you " i can hardly speak , she knows i have been up to something but knows not what ..tears streaming down my face as we drive off , can see her thinking what has he been up too... Whistle Whistle Whistle

So the moral to this tale is if you spot a vehicle with a second antenna on it and your car won't start stop and the alarm going off and the occupants of said vehicle with tears running down their faces it might just be me , or another radio amateur haveing a spot of fun .... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Maybe you should invest in another (better) set of radio equipment if the current one broadcasts so many harmonics... Rolling with laughter

My radio equipment is well filtered not like some of the stuff put into cars ..!!! ,if you check the freq for the key fobs it is more nearer 433 mhz right in the middle of amateur radio freq (70 cm ) and we are allowed to transmit up to 400w depending on your class of license ...

not the Mw on mobile phones Laughing Laughing Laughing Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Wales
