Dirty filter ... lower fuel economy

Lately I notice the MPG has reduced but otherwise all running well. On checking the air filter it was filthy. That is after 18 months use. I asked the technician at my LR dealership how often it should be changed. Officially 24 months but he recommends 12 months. It will be interesting to see how the economy improves, hopefully an improvement.

I think later model cars with DPF the air filter change is at every service. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
