Proud father.

As any of us who are a parent knows, we are immensely proud of any of our children when they achieve a goal or overcome adversity.

It seems like yesterday that I spent hours sat next to my son who was in a coma in a bed at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham.

Simmo - as ex forces myself (left just before all the real scary stuff kicked off) I absolutely take my hat off to your son. You should rightly be immensely proud of him for his strength and courage after receiving such injuries.

but never forget you and your family either matey, you have been to hell and back too and you should also be immensely proud of yourselves, for raising such a fighter and for helping him pull through.

Sir, I salute you all Thumbs Up congratulations on his success. Very Happy

Thanks for the comments.

Despite all the tv interviews he has done, and the coverage his story has had over the years, he is actually really shy, but when it comes to sport he is a different person. He was a boxing champ in the Army, and is now training to coach disabled children into getting involved in sport. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018
