Help needed near Farnborough M3

Ok so I have the xenons to replace the halogen lights and I need the CCF changing on the car
Had a rather unfavourable quote from a landrover place in Alton
So was hoping someone with the tool could hook me up ? Happy to travel to anyone who can help and hand over beer tokens.
Based in Farnborough M3
Many thanks
Keith

Hi Keefer, I doubt anyone will post their device out to you to use, however, if you state you are willing to travel in order for someone with the device to carry out the modification you may get a better response.

What did the LR specialist quote you?

not sure these are close enough, but this indy modified my CCF for my Freelander 2 a few years ago - I believe I was their first

From memory they were very cheap, and together we worked our way through the tool, I recall 2 settings needed to be changed in order for xenons to work as required and not flicker

Thanks. Yes a bit to far that one.
The only place I have contacted so far wanted 80 bucks
Which I thought was a bit steep.
Hence the call for help on here. No rush

I've used my Nanocom Evo for this job on my FL2, I originally bought it when I had a Disco 3 then added the relevant upgrade licenses for my Defender and Freelander.

It's probably a bit expensive for a single job but a good versatile piece of kit if you anticipate that further diagnostic work could be in order.

With the Nanocom, changing the CCF for the Xenons is easy enough but it's not a simple matter of changing a setting or two on the screen of the device, you need to access the BlackBox solutions "Genesis" site and either call up your cars "as-built" file or upload your own one, then modify the file to suit and download it to a memory card and finally fire it back to the car. It might sound complicated but it's not really if you've a basic grasp of working with computers.

I've changed a few bits on mine including some updated IPAC files to add extra display functions, for example the info centre now also displays battery voltage, instantaneous mpg and speed, it also shows what gear is selected by the auto box. These last bits came courtesy of forum member alex-pescaru who posted a very helpful thread with links to some modified files a while back.
