2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver
fixed USB connector has come out of central audio console

Help please. When trying to pull the cable out of the USB port on my freelander 2, the USB port came away as well. I can't pull the cable out of the port, tried pliers and a hammer. The cable is broken at the phone end as well so is useless. is there anyway of getting a USB port without getting a whole new part (lr044901) for which I've been quoted around £75. Help!

Thanks, I was after the replacement for the fitted part in the console that connects the phone to the audio so that you can play music and listen to the satnav on the phone through the audio, not just a plug in charging port.

I don't know of the part as my car is too old to have heard of USB, but does the part look modular in the sense that the USB socket can be unclipping in any way? If so, it will likely have its own Ford part number which you could then try and source. If not it sounds like you'd need to dismantle it yourself and do some soldering with a usb port from Mapping or the likes. Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
