It was a great non-stop raining weekend with lots of beach and deep puddles back road driving. Thanks Mike. 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 SE

You should come to Wales if you enjoy driving in the rain!

Yes it was a fun long weekend alright. We camped right near the beach and drove all the beaches possible between Port Macquarie and South West Rocks, a distance of around 80kms, (50 miles), on the New South Wales mid north coast. It's mid winter here and the forecast was for torrential rain and flooding, but it wasn't that bad. There were a few showers and it was mostly overcast, but I spent most of the weekend in a t-shirt without a jumper, around 18C during the day. I suppose that's the main difference between Wales and New South Wales? We did find an excellent camp spot during our reccie and it will be our base next time. The good thing about winter trips is that all the pussies stay home....you can't move in that area in the summer due to the crowds.
