Head unit adapter kits questions

Hi guys,

I want to replace my current head unit with a new one if possible, I have a few options but would like some advice if possible, as far as I can tell I have a MY11 with premium audio. Is that correct from the following picture?

Option 1 Get Halfords to fit an apple car play pioneer head unit for an all in price of £399 but I'm not sure if I would get all the adapters and leads etc that I really need in order to retain every function. http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-aud...ted-bundle specifically that unit doesn't mention anything about parking sensors from what I can see which makes me hesitant about it in the first place but if they were to fit it I would replace it with a kenwood one and sell the da120 on eBay.

So then if halfords is ruled out my question is out of these two options which is the best bet in terms of all round functionality?

Option 2 https://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=4908

Or

Option 3 http://www.connects2.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/CTKLR07

With both of these options I would fit a kenwood head unti.

Any particular pro's and con's I should be aware of with any of the options listed? I have tried to do some digging here on the forums but not found anything that looks to give me the answers that I need.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Ben

Options 1 and 3 do not mention the parking sensors and/or sat nav, option 2 does.

Option 3 only states: "note original Nav display will only show the LANDROVER logo, Time will be displayed on the aftermarket h/u". So my guess is they do not have a solution for the sat nav.

Maybe you can ask booktrunk? He replaced the head unit and the sat nav recently, see http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic29299.html and http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic29013.html

More info here as well: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic21075.html and http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic25482.html

If all is well apart from wanting a mobile disco that was never in your original spec save your money for the bills needed to keep these boys on the road would be my advice. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current
