Tyre advice

Hi guys, I wanted to know if I can fit on R16 wheels non-standard 215 65 instead of 215 75. I just put my hands on some bct s600 and was wondering if those would be ok on the car. Much appreciated! On to Offroad

The 65 tyres will fit but will have a smaller diameter (-5.9%). This will effectively lower your gearing & make your speedometer overread. Not a good modification, your car will be "revving it's nuts off".

Thanks for your reply Bob! I just ordered some 17 inch wheels and 235/65 tyres. I think i should keep landy in good shape. Your advice was appreciated!

Good decision! 17's do suit the car well. Enjoy your Landie!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

17" are ideal anything bigger is mainly bling, looks great but harsher ride, noise and worse in snow.

My wife last German made car had 18" but was a far better ride on the 17" Winter wheels. Her latest German made car is on 19" rims and the tyre noise is very high and my betting is when the 17" Winters go on (advised by the wheel supplier the wheels we kept are good for her new car as well) it will be a much nicer motor.

Got to say my latest tyres , Michelin Crossclimates on the FL2 are doing really well for noise and also grip in the wet. All year around tyre so will be interesting to see how they do in snow (if we get any). FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
