2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Fuel door/flap will not open! Any help appreciated

Hi everyone,

Just tried to put some diesel into the car but the fuel door/flap will not open, it remains locked.
The doors are not locked and the tailgate still works normally.
Any ideas? Anyway to open manually? Car is a four year old freelander2 with new style dashboard. Usually it just pulls open.
