Finally finished the installation of these today (talk about a long term project)

They really are a pain in the neck to install & the instructions are not particularly well illustrated IMHO. The light switch position is not well thought out at all & I found that I could not get it to fit satisfactorily, without grinding some of the plastic mounting of the instrument cluster away & even then the wires are jammed up against it!

To be honest I don’t think I’ll ever really use them, as I rarely drive at night now, but as I plan on selling it in the near future, I just wanted them fitted.

Not that you should be driving at night, but if you get caught late on a corrugated road. They are good for lighting the sides of the road to spot all the suicidal kangaroos. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The 'after thought' driving lamp switch is from the Jaguar range of cars of JLR, doesn't match any other in the FL2 dash area.

Haven't seen the dash carpet for a FL2 ? but have photos of the dash carpet for the FL1. (we done get your amount of sun over here in the UK.
