Gear selector

Just noticed that the red dot that tells you what position the selector is in has disappeared. Anyone else had the same issue?

Dash display still tells you. I'll leave it till July when it goes in for service to be looked at under warranty but was just curious if it's happened to anyone else. I assume it's just a red piece of plastic or are there LED's under there.

A little update that may help someone if they have the same problem. and something to be aware of when cleaning the interior.

It was really annoying me that there was no gear position indicator on the selector surround so I had to investigate instead of waiting till it was serviced.

It all comes apart easy, you just put something flat under the edge of the surround trim and gently lever it up till the clips are free.

What I sussed out had happen'd is when it was valeted the other day they must have pushed down too hard when cleaning the centre console, because the LED's still slightly proud in the surround the whole PCB underneath that holds the LED's had broken the little plastic pegs it sits on and allowed it to drop down.

A tiny dab of super glue on each of the 4 pegs has it back in place now and the LED's showing what position the selector is in Thumbs Up
