I have the same problem.

The rear one work but the front one doesn't work.

Where can I find the FA6 fuse ?

How can I test if there is power without plug an accessory ?

Have you got a tuto (DIY) to change this piece (http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/150459/5497/base_assy___cigar_lighter___evoque___freelander_2___range_rover_sport) ?

12v rear console socket

I prised out a rear audio control panel, and sure enough, the plug that was supposed to go to the socket was just loose. Remove both control panels and the plastic panel they both fit into otherwise there isn't enough room to get your fingers in. Plugged it in, works fine. Brilliant!

Reviving a semi old thread. My aux socket isn't there, think it's been pushed through or something and neither of my cigarette sockets work. On the subject of removing the audio panel, is it just a case of finding something to fit in the gap and just "encouraging" it out?

Thanks

Prized out the rear audio ports and the lighter was connected, I found that the aux socket had had a cable snapped off into it and just been pushed through into the center console. Disconnected it and ordered a replacement from dan at duckworths, it arrived yesterday so I plugged it all back in and my aux is working now 👌🏻

on the subject of cigarette lighters, I Checked fuse FA6 in the fuse box in the boot and it had blown. Quick trip to Halfords for a new fuse and both are now working again.

Cheers for the info, this forum is invaluable 👍🏻

The front socket in our freelander has never worked, plus the ring which retains the plug has broken so it drops done into the console.

Does anybody know of a USB x 2 socket which can be wired into place instead of the 12v power point?

Cheers!

That's tne sort of thing, however I was hoping to find one which fits in the original circular cutout hole. I will keep searching!

Thanks

George

That's actually really useful. My front one is very temperamental and as I only use it for USB devices this makes a lot of sense. Learned to drive in 2011.

Wee update here. Bought one of the ones similar to the eBay one linked to, but it was located in UK so came within a couple of days. Fitted and working perfectly.

Absolute pain in the backside to fit though unless you remove the centre console.

I am blessed with feminine sized hands so managed to do it from the gear stick cubby bit. Still bleeding though. The wiring is so tight that it is a nightmare to connect up the new wires.

And yes my car is downright minging, so no need to say it Smile
