United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Barolo Black
RHD front door lock

I have just acquiered a 2009 Freelander2 2.2 td GS, from using the key fob everything works excepting the "locking system" all other functions are ok, I am assuming the RHF lock activates all other locks when locking.
Have looked at other posts and assume it is a lock/motor replacement ?? any advice.
Also when inserting the fob into facia it is difficult to remove after switching the engine OFF is this normal or do I have another fault ??

Did you try pushing the fob in a little before removing it should motor in and motor out. Understeer when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower how fast you hit the wall.
Torque how far you take the wall with you.

Hi, yes but it is still "firm" to remove but light is fading now, will have a proper look at all functions tomorrow and advise of the outcome. Thanks for the advice.

If all other functions on the key fob are working It would be a fairly good assumption it is the drivers door at fault due to the fact the drivers side is operated with one click and a further to open the rest. This meaning if only the driver getting in all the time the drivers side is the only one in use.

I take it the button on the dash isn't working the locks either and have you tried the spare key if there is one?

Just wanted to say re the key fob. On one of mine the raised symbols ballooned somehow making the fob thicker than normal and fouled inside of the key slot making the fob difficult to pull out. I bought a pattern fob from ebay and switched the internals. All good now. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE
