Quite like the look of these, has anyone fitted one? Just wondering about quality and how they attach.

There are different armrests for pre 2012 models and post 2012 models.

Ive never had anything newer than a 2010 Freelander and the armrest just screwed into a pre drilled/threaded hole in the bottom of the storage tray at the rear of the centre console. Very quick and easy to fit or remove and very effective.

Looking at pictures of the 2012> interior with the armrest, it fits around the covered storage tray but Im not sure how it is secured to the centre console.

I changed to a 2013 FL2 just before Christmas, first thing I bought was an armrest. I bought an extendable leather wood company armrest, I bought it from a UK company as it was cheaper than buying from Wood company itself. I had a 2010 FL2 and I also put an armrest in that one as well. The 2013 armrest is different from the previous version. There are 4 holes that have to be drilled into the center console, the armrest is then screwed into place with 4 screws, these are out of view and I think they came with covers. Not a hard job to fit but I found it difficult to drill the holes because of limited room due to the position of the the two front car seats.

I like the armrest and it is nice and sturdy and well built. In my opinion it's worth the money. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
