I just got back today from Zug in Switzerland. I went for a week and drove from the channel tunnel to Zug in a day, stopping for rest breaks and to let the sprog stretch her legs. The Mrs has never driven on the wrong side of the road, so muggings did it all. 8 or so hours of driving and I felt better than I used to in other cars. Driving back we stopped for a couple of days at Disneyland.

The only snag with the car was the satnav was still set to avoid tunnels from the previous owner, so when we got to Switzerland it kept trying to route us through Germany to avoid tunnels. It's a good job we knew the route from previous journeys. Coming home after resetting the satnav settings it was showing the route expected.

Cleaned the car yesterday, after visiting my son in the countryside! Black sure does show
the sh.....dirt!! Cleaned the wheels today, so much easier than the Evoque wheels I had fitted on
the previous car! Added running strips halfway up the door, after painting them gloss black. Looks

On a mores serious note I take it the TYRE rotation was moving front to back and back to front on the same side (both sides of course). Years ago with 2WD cars I would rotate in the spare as well as moving side to side but not a good idea on these babies. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Just packed a chainsaw, brushcutter , fuel and all the workwear into the boot. Taking it down the lane . I've to clear a load of bramble. We are going to create a gateway where the drystone wall was demolished by an Amazon delivery driver. Cut today , wall guy comes tomorrow to dismantle. Monday we get a digger to move some 9' , 200 year old Yorks Stone gateposts. Next week wall guy finishes job.
