Roof rails pano vs non pano need an answer

I'm currently looking for roof rails for my 10 plate WITH panoramic roof. I have searched on the forum to find an answer to if I can use the non pano rails on my pano roof but it seems that some people think they are compatible and some think they are not. I have read, "they are the same, no clearance issues but they are just noisier" and I have read, "the pano rails are taller and have more clearance and so the non pano will not let the sunroof open".

Can someone that knows the facts enlighten me on whether I can buy the NON pano rails and fit them to my pano roof without my sunroof exploding when it it opened.

I have read that they are not compatible, but haven't read why! Maybe the pan roofs have a different roofline?

Have you considered something like this, and do away with the rails and go straight to bars.
