Fault Code P0570

Afternoon all

Had this random thing a few times, I get in the lr2 and insert the key then push the brake then starter and all I get is the ignition on but no starting, the last time it has also reset all my trips and mpg and so on, so just plugged my hawkeye in and its come up with a fault code of P0570 which says ""cruise control accel signal""

Is this something to worry about? Would it mean the cruise control switch on the steering wheel? I often use the cruise control and it seems to work great, least has done for the last year, after I cleaned the clock spring, could it be the clock spring being a pain again?

Cheers any help would be greatful

Thanks for the help, had alook at lots of places but cant find a perfect answer, so at a guess it has to be one of the items joined to the steering wheel, maybe new switch or new clock spring, will see if it happens again and if the same fault shows up.

Does seem abit random though that all the trips reset and mpg, would the cruise switch course all these to reset and stop the engine from starting?

I had this with my 57 plate. Exactly the same symptoms. I am pretty sure it was a software update that cured it. Mine was done under warranty but give your dealer a ring and check. Hunters in Derby had seen a few so sorted it straight away.

Cheers for the reply

tried it again this morning and all was fine, tried the cruise buttons and all worked as should and start up was normal, although I turned on with out the brake then once all lights were on then started the lr2

Will see how it goes over the next week, not sure if it would be a software problem on mine as it has never done this in the past year and half iv owned it, so maybe thinking its just a problem in the switch or clock spring ( or maybe its just had a fanny fart ) Whistle

Will update if anything else happens. On another note if I buy a new clock spring, is it just a take old one out and fit new one and job sorted or do I need to reprogram anything? Or any set up?

Cheers

Mine did it about once or twice a month. Like you I was a little sceptical but Hunters didn't change any parts-just the software update. Didn't do it again after so I assume that was the reason.

I plugged my elm327 just to play with the Smartphone and this p0570 popped out in My 2007 fl2. The cruise control Works as it should ans the car seems tu run perfectly so i'm surprised to see this dtc. My elm327 shows p0570 and u3f12 as "stored dtc" if using carscanner pro app, but if I use the " autodoctor app" no dtc are found... Confused
