Sat Nav screen cutting out on start up

Morning all. Only just joined despite this being our 4th Freelander.
Does anyone else have a problem with the sat nav screen cutting out intermittently for 5-10 minutes on start up and then being fine ? Is this a software issue which can be fixed ?
Thanks all
Mike

Has it only started in the cold weather? Could it be voltage drop on Startup?

Do you still have audio when screen blanked? Can you still control the audio system - change volume, CD track fast fwd, track skip, radio station change. etc...? A possible issue could be a poor connection or damaged fibre or bend radius exceeded on the MOST network which could correct with vehicle motion.

Take a look at the MOST network diagram:

https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/user...etwork.pdf

then perhaps check all MOST connectors are securely plugged in and that both Tx & Rx fibre are fully pushed home. Also on the sections of the optical fibres you can see/locate check for damaged fibre or severe bend radius.
