Are continental cross contact uhp difficult to get hold of?

Dealer has the above tyre on back over for 2 weeks and is struggling to get one. uk based. Are they difficult to get hold of or superseded by something else? 235/55R19 size original fit. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

The reason for picking the continental cross contact uhp is because my metropolis already has them fitted. I've spent a long time reading through the tyre choice on ere, and there doesn't seem to be a specific move towards a different tyre to the standard fit. There is quite a variety of different choices others have made. Where some have moved tyre it looks like there's sometimes softer side walls. Some have stayed away from the standard fit while others have returned after going to other tyres. I don't do many miles and think my current tyres are half worn originals. Hence picking the same tyre as a spare. I've read all sorts of comments good and bad about them. Vast majority of my use is tarmac with occasional oft road use at pay and play sites. I assume my thoughts are roughly in line with what others think? Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Hi Hippo, do you still have the V6 series 1 hippo? Common sense isn't very common.

Same here, pretty much to the letter, except mine were new!

I needed a sixth wheel for the outback. There must be a shortage of this tire as it took over a week here to get an 18". Now have the 2 spares on the front. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Went to see them today. There seemed to be a few problems. Tyres were on back order but they came in. Job was deleted off the system so they were unsure what the request was. Tyre was fitted to wheel when they found it. So all was sorted in the end. Tyre supplied is the newer uhp e version. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Hi. Sort of. I took my series 1 apart and completely rebuilt it with series 2 parts to metropolis spec, so it still retains the character of my trusted faithful series 1. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer
