iPhone 7 bluetooth connection problem

My iPhone7 automatically connects to my car when I get in without a problem but in the last few weeks after about 15 seconds it disables the radio as if I was going to make a call!

I need to press the onscreen phone icon and then press "use handset" to get the radio back on. Cant find anything after searching the forum, any ideas?

Not had that in mine, same phone.
You don't have an app running that plays music? Wondering if the car is hunting for something to play?

No music playing, I have looked all through the settings on the phone and in the car but can't see anything obvious 🤔

I'm getting the same thing with my iPhone SE in my Evoque when I Bluetooth music from it. I have to press 'end call' to get my music back on. Also, when I am using my TomTom app when bluetoothing music to my helmet when riding my motorcycle, everytime a direction change is spoken, it changes music tracks. This has only happened since my last IOS update so I'm hoping it will sort itself out when the next update is released. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
