South Africa 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Baltic Blue

Greetings from South Africa

I recently purchased a 2010 Freelander TD4 HSE with 90000km on the clock, absolutely fantastic car! I'm interested in doing a front and rear bumper upgrade, could someone point me in the right direction perhaps?

Regards

Chris

Australia 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey

G'Day All

Just to say it, bought my Freelander 2 new 3years ago and while it's still under extended warranty it won't be long now till I start working on this bucket of bolts!

It has been back for warranty repairs now for about 15 major faults from front and rear diff replacements, rear main engine seal leak, multiple turbo hoses burst and the first one blew after 20,000Km and many many other faults. This is all done under 100,000Km (Land Rover claims that it's all unusual?!)

Just like to know am I going to go nuts on this or is it all worth it as my wife likes the car and I admit it is nice too (shame that it's an auto!)

So hoping that this forum will help me along from other people's misfortunes.

Thanks heaps guys and keep well.

How does the freelander compare to the CRV?

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Hi, long time lurker and have now taken the plunge.Picked up a late 2006 black hse auto, 3.2 petrol engine with 62,000 miles on the clock last week. Immaculate condition, both interior and exterior for it's age. Only slight gripe is the telephone buttons on both the console and steering wheel are not functioning at all. Apart from that, I just love the car.

I chose petrol because I commute through central London daily and I would of have been hit hard with the ULEZ( https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone charge) which comes into force in 4 years time. So getting even the latest diesel Freelander was not a option as confirmed in this thread, http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic21910.html.

The only modifications I really want is a rear boot spoiler, rear camera and and having the bluetooth updated.

Great forum.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Lago Grey

Greetings from 'Summer Wine Country', West Yorkshire.
I've recently got a 2009 TD4 Auto after having a Freelander 1 TD4 manual for a couple of years. The FL1 experience started well but got expensive. Big Cry I didn't intend getting an auto but it was a local recommendation and decent value. Love the FL2. Thumbs Up Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto, Lago Grey
