Yes, but I don't use it in cutting compound mode if you just apply it to a dirty car.

I personally like it because you don't get white residue on the black trim. Just spray on a cloth, polish on and buff off. Everyone has their personal favourite mind you.

Our company makes waterless wash and wax, if your using it for first time wash car with car shampoo, they spray micro cloth not the car and wipe over the cleaned car that will put protective layer on, then afterwards clean car without water
