Advice needed please

Hi All, I have recently got a 1992 Lunar meteorite s caravan and am towing it with my FL2 sport with a genuine brinks removable swan neck tow ball.
The nose height looks too high on the caravan when coupled up and I read a thread on this site about going up in wheel size on the caravan to overcome this.
The caravan has 12" 4 stud wheels (small I know) on, and I wanted to know what wheels would be suitable replacements ideally from someone who has done this. I wondered whether I could go to scrapyard and get some 155 x 13 wheels ?
All feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I might add I cant fit a drop plate on the tow bar as its a detachable one.
Thanks in advance of replies Alan.

Depends on what additional height you need. The FL tow ball is designed to be at a standard height meeting EU standards. I would guess the 'van suspension may have settled a little. First, does your 'van have the correct size tyres?

My 'van is a 2006 Sterling Onyx. It runs on 14" wheels with 175R 14 tyres & rides level.

At that age it is probably the caravan suspension that is making the caravan low. As for going to larger wheels do you have clearance to fit them.

Standard 13 inch wheels are available from most caravan accessory shops for around £35 ( 100mm PCD ) but I would contact Lunar first to see what they reccomend. Mine, Saab convertible

If it's an Alko chassis the suspension arm should be at or just below horizontal. ( info on Alko website ) Mine, Saab convertible
