Genuine Landrover detach towbar

Hi there I new here so go easy!

I have read some very useful posts on the fitting of detachable tow bars and various bits of good advice on same.

My questions are do Land Rover swan neck detach toeball need any cuts to the lower bumper to fit and I assume the L rover wiring kit are best to accompany same.

Thanks all enjoying site!

LR detachable does need a bumper cut. However, the dreaded tow bar "clunk" is still prevalent. Go Witter, or anything but Thule/Brink (branded as LR) If you want to maintain a good "departure angle" for off road use you will need a bar that requires a bumper cut.

I have a Witter fixed flange bar. A bit of a reverse "battering ram" but solid and reliable. (& stops people parking too close Wink ) Good luck with your detachable. Thumbs Up 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
