By "data" you mean the serials or the data block inside ECU?

But do you have, on your FL2, that hesitation/judder the guys are talking about?
If yes, by all means! Thanks!

Are the flashing functions available for FL2 on GAP products yet?

Alex - they are developing the tool for global update flashing (all modules flashed to latest software on one hit) They have still a bit to finish off but i emailed Pat earlier today and he replied that he will provide me with functionality shortly.

Hi Jim,

You seem to have first hand info on the IDD Tool and I'm planning on getting one of these in the near future.
Could you let me/us know when they have the software all set up as I will then proceed.
Thanks Jim Thumbs Up MY15

Stuart - guys at gap ensure me that full functionality will be ready really soon. There is a group buy running through D3 at the minute so be good time to buy. Don't see that postage from Canada to Oz will be much different to UK 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Hi,

solving the problem by buying a new fuel cap would be great Smile

Does it makes sense to create a list for collecting information about the affected cars?
The list could contain model year, automatic/manual, firmware versions etc...
Please let me know what you think about this.

PS: we could also write down already swapped parts which did not solved the problem.

Is Ryan@LandRover still here? Is Land Rover currently working on a solution?
The thread is one year old and there is still no solution from Land Rover.

I agree. Probably Ryan won't tell us anything new.

hesitation .

I had my cap replaced at 4000 miles, if tank was nearly empty it was quite an effort to remove it.but hesitation developed imidiately after first service (new air filter) which made me suspect the air flow sensor, but this was not received with an enthusiastic response when mentioned when problem was investigated.

If it helps I had LR Assist out yesterday on an unrelated fault on my 2011 model and I mentioned that I used to have the hesitation issue and he said that there was a software fix for it so he checked my car and found it was up to date. The point is that he was prepared to do the upgrade there and then if necessary. So if you have LR Assist you could always try calling them out and get it done on your drive.

I Think sofware update is the first thing they try, can't be successful can it.

EGR replaced yesterday following the logging of a fault. However, sounds like others have also had this replaced to no avail. Picking it up today. Will let you know how it goes.

P.s. note the weather's getting colder now. Perhaps it will resolve it by magic.... Wink

This might be relevant but I currently have very low mileage 15 reg Jaguar XF as a loan car while the FL2 is having it's reduced engine power problem sorted. I drove the XF about 35 miles (from a full tank) and decided to have a look at the fuel cap which looks identical to the Freelander, when I removed it there was no hiss at all. The fuel cap looks the same as mine and I can't remember what colour mine is inside but this is presumably what they are fitting in new cars. PS I found the XF well equipped and OK to drive but no wow factor, cramped and I feel a bit "Mondeo man" inside.

Technical discussion only please

This thread has been painstakingly split from the LRCS thread, I have tried to keep all the technical stuff in here and removed all the requests to Ryan and LRCS, this should allow technical discussions for this issue to take place without the clutter of 'I am sick of my car' posts.

If you require information from LRCS, then contact them in the relevant section or via PM, do not use this thread, any rants or non technical answers or questions will be removed to allow the thread to continue.

Hopefully, this will allow the technical people on here to get to the bottom of the issue and I wish anyone with this issue success in getting a resolution.

Paul
