Slightly unnerving being stared at like this for a good solid 20 mins the other day. I think she had been knackered out by the afternoon doing training with the local club and couldn't move.

Just checked what it said on the invoice and it states '1.00 X initial consultation'. Oh, and it was £47.50, not £45.00

Our vet charges 24€ for a consultation, which last time included 2 dogs and a cat.

A couple of years ago one of our dogs swallowed a lump of an 'indestructible' rubber toy which resulted in it ripping his gut, the total bill for the operation, drugs, & a Sunday call out was 298€, the standard fee for an operation on a medium size dog. My daughter-in-law who works at the Royal Veterinary Collage said the bill in the UK would have been between £3,000 & £5,000.

I guess one of the differences is that the vet who turned up on a call out had a 20 year old Renault van, not the new Range Rovers our last vets practice in the UK had.

I can finally add to this. Sort of Smile

Will be getting this little cracker at the start of September once we have moved and settled. The breeder is looking after her until then. She is a lab golden retriever cross.

Perfect mod to the Freelander Smile

 Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....

Our dear little Border Terrier, now coming up to ten years old, diabetic and visually impaired but we absolutely adore her.

She hated the life jacket, tail down and an expression that seems to say, "Is this really necessary?"

Have you got enough slack on that collar or are you waiting for him to grow into it? Laughing

I know, we did buy it to grow in too, but made a mistake in how small it would go, so spent the week looking at dog collars to see if we could find one that we liked, they were all twice as much as we paid and that was just a piece of rope or webbing with a plastic lock

most walks we have a slip lead on him, but i had left that at the caravan this day, so had to use the stretchy lead we tie him up with at the shore line as its longer Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Laughing I did the same with a light up/flashing collar for night walking Susie that I bought online. Found myself walking down the road dragging a red flashing collar with Susie walking alongside me!
