Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - Metropolis

Does anybody own a MY2014> with TPMS?

If so, can you confirm if it is just the amber dashboard lamp that is operational when the pressure drops, or are the respective tyre pressures displayed in the central driver screen in a menu?

TIA. Foraging near Gaydon....

I believe it's just the low tyre warning, not sure it even tells you which one, are you thinking of a retrofit Thumbs Up personally I can feel a difference in pressures before the system alerts me, had it on the Merc, although I think their system uses ABS sensors to detect rotation differences?

Apparently along with the warning light (yellow) a message comes up in the message centre telling you Front (rear) Left (right) or "Check Spare Tyre Pressure" It can also detect a change in wheel position. No mention of displayed tyre pressures. MY15

From what I can remember , the instruction book says the amber light will come on the the tyre pressure drops by 4psi or more.it doesn't show the tyre pressure. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Thanks all for the input. I was hoping that there was a proper TPMS display built into the system and activated by CCF manipulation, like DS or wife's MY2015 Corsa. If it's just a lamp, I'll probably not bother with it. Foraging near Gaydon....

I can confirm that it doesn't tell you the pressures but it does tell you the specific wheel if it detects a problem both with a narrative and a graphic. Also, it doesn't need reprogramming if you change to a set of winter wheels with TPMS fitted as I did last winter. Hope that helps

I wonder if this can be fitted to MY13> vehicles ? I specced a rear camera from factory but the TPMS would be really cool as it shows you the actual pressure of the car and the trailer!

Already looked into this Nuts....not compatable with MY13 on, and as a point of note, LR have ditched their association with TrailAir as a company 😡 Foraging near Gaydon....

Thats a pity I wonder why as it looked to be a fantastic bit of kit. Most likely it wasn't as popular as JLR would have expected Rolling Eyes MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I was in a 147 defender recently at Solihull and it had a similar screen to the you tube vid which appeared in the rear view mirror when reversing. It also displayed the tyre pressures. The 147's are special build. Used at Solihull for the factory tours. Not road legal as they're untested. Not many in the world. The guide said it was something LR were testing. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

It was quite a few bob if I recall, I doubt many were sold, especially to the copper wire inventers North of the Border Wink

Think it was in the region of £650, plus fitting, plus the fitting of the sensors in the wheels, plus the vat. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
