My car is also manual and it's supposed to do 45.6 MPG combined. I expected it to be about 40 MPG mark driving around town. As it is a new car for me it's not about the money for the gas; it's about the vehicle may have some issue. I am going to put some fuel cleaner into the next tank to see any improvement. Thank for your comment |

Try a shot of Millers Diesel Treatment next time you fill up. You could also consider adding 2-stroke oil to the fuel tank, but it's a hot topic with very diverse opinions on whether or not it actually benefits the engine overall. Plenty of comments on the topic, have a search on here. Foraging near Gaydon....

Follow Badger advised I put 50 ml of Milles into the tank with 50l diesel. Today I did a trip from Hexham to Catbells near Keswick and back of over 180 miles. The Average MPG read 41.3 MPG after the trip so the Millers must have done some thing. I hope after finishing the 500ml bottle the MPG will reach some where near 45 MPG as LR indicated.
