Scotland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey
Headlamp washers

I would just like to find out if anybody has had any problems with there headlamp washers, I have an SE TD4 2007 model and have just started to have a problem with the passenger side washer, it does not seem to be working. The drivers side is working ok, if any of you have had a problem can you let me know how you resolved the problem, I have not contacted the dealers yet.

No problem (that I know of) with the headlamp washers, but the driver's side screen washer became disconnected a week or so back and needed fixing...

not read that anybody else has had a problem.

When you press the button to clean the screen and headlamps can you hear any pump engage? near the offending headlamp?

if you can it could be a disconnected pipe, if you can't it could have come unplugged or the pump might have failed.

Might be a silly question but you do realise that they dont both come on at once?

They come on one at a time to avoid blocking the light beam apparently.

Very Happy

Is there a separate motor for each side? it is probably easier to rig the alternate wash feature with twin motors.

Thanks for the info, I read the manual and found out that , that is the case, so monitored the washers over a period of 15 Mins while testing the washers and it was only the drivers headlamp washer the avtivated every time.
Thanks for the help.
