traction reduced warning

Has anybody had a warning on there screen "TRANSMISSION FAULT TRACTION REDUCED" i have had it quite a lot lately dealer said it would rectify itself in time. Confused Crying or Very sad Very Happy Crying or Very sad Very Happy Confused

I would take it back to them to look at and rectify, there is obviously a problem with it and it has been discused on this site before. Think it was either a software update cured it or there is a faulty sensor somewhere in the drive train.

Update:

Robbie37, it was you who asked this question before. The replies to that indicated a faulty sensor in the Haldex Unit.

We've had a software update to fix this. Not had the warning since (though it was only done a couple of days ago).

I have had the same warning message some time ago and the dealer did the software update

This morning the temperature was -1c and upon pressing the start button there was a pause in starting and the Heater element sign was illuminated on the dash

The car then started, and the system check appeared show the fault in the HDC.

Not happen since, so i put it down to the sensor been effected by the very cold weather over night

Same here on the software update. Not had the error since.

Ah - So thats when the glow plugs fire up. I was wondering. I wait for the light to go out on mine before starting but as theres no option or delay on the fl I couldn't figure out how it worked. So it just uses them when it needs them. Clever. Thumbs Up

Crying or Very sad Had the .same fault & its been back to the garage 4 times -They have rebooted it but it keeps reoccuring & is getting worse.The signal comes up for only 2/3 seconds & garage say they cant trace fault as its intermittent If you are slow releasing your foot of the clutch it occurs sometimes but other times it just happens-Occured about 20 times on a 6 hour journey-Very frustrating-Any suggestions?

Also recently had the same problem. It seems to occur more often when I am on an incline or decline. LR Durban have no idea what to do?? Seems you people know more about their cars than they do - thanks, I'll tell them about the software upgrade.

Razz Forgot to update you all on my traction warning -After taking it back several times I insisted my dealer solved the problem-They changed the sensor and all is now fine -apparently there was a batch of faulty sensors

Sounds like I have one of the one of those faulty units. The problem comes and goes, no pattern to it though, will mention it on next service or wait for something to fail!
