Yes, I have just spotted one and noticed the changes from the 2008s.

Main Changes are:

· All new 19" Sparkle Silver Finish alloy wheels
· Almond leather with Nutmeg carpeting replaces Alpaca
· Clear side repeater lenses plus new rear lamp details
· Front interior map lights under sunvisors
· New instrument panel finishes include Dark Laurel which replaces Dark Eucalyptus and Satin Silver with replaces Pixel
· New optional STYLE PACK body kit
· Two new optional colors from the Global Paint Palette include Martinique Blue and Lago Grey

The price of a 2009 HSE is quoted as $36,150 or £18,243
Price of a UK 3.2 i6 HSE (Land Rover site) is £28,859 excluding VAT

How come a car made in the UK then shipped to the US is £10,000 cheaper in the US?

Whilst the manufacturers do tweak the prices to suit the region/country where it is to be sold, the major difference for most is simply tax on top of the car.

The other 'tweaks' that come are in differences in warranty and service agreements that come with a new car, with it having to be adjusted in some cases to suit the market............The grass is always greener on the other side, but most aren't prepared to hop over the fence to the otherside

You really need to add up everything as a whole to see how pricing of vehicles is established, and by the whole I mean the social and economics of a particular place that determine the base price.

And then you have to consider cost of ownership, maybe the new cost of cars in Norway is crazy but the second hand prices must be up there too? When I have been to the USA I have seen huge depots full of second hand cars at cheap prices so over there maybe they buy cheap but sell even cheaper?


Seems to me the US has it is the easiest though.

3.2 i6 HSE = 805.000 dkk = 84.535 GBP
2.2 Td4 HSE = 700.000 dkk = 73.509 GBP
